Please consider dropping by the UW System Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity this coming Friday, April 11, 2014, in the UWM Union. Over 500 undergraduates from across the UW System will be presenting research posters, oral presentations, and creative work at this event, and half of these students come from UWM. This will be an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate the work of our undergraduates. It is also a great opportunity to get a sense for the work students are doing across the System and perhaps recruit them to our graduate programs. Opening remarks begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Union Ballroom; Presentations begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3:45 p.m.; Closing remarks and the awards ceremony begin at 4 p.m. A pdf of the full schedule and abstracts is available here: http://www4.uwm.edu/our/pdf/System_Symposium_2014.pdf. Special thanks to Sandra Millon Underwood (Nursing) who is presenting a keynote to the students and the over 200 UWM faculty, staff, graduate students, retired faculty, and alumni who have agreed to serve as judges this year.
